Apple Power Macintosh 7300/180 PowerPC Computer 48Mb RAM 1.2GB HDD (BH)

Apple Power Macintosh 7300/180 PowerPC Computer with 48Mb RAM & 1.2GB HDD. The computer was opened up and with an air compressor, I blew out all the dust and dirt. I wiped down as much as I could and cleaned the fan. I washed the outer case.

The plastic dust lid that hangs over the motherboard is present but the hinges are broken. This does not affect the computer and the still sits good in the area it was designed to be in. The plastic power up button on the front is present but the the side supports have long been broken off. The case still holds this button in place. The case has no cracks or breaks.

The computer powered up and at first, was not able to read the Quantum 500Mb ProDrive HDD. I tested a 1.2GB Quantum Fireball HDD and it computer powered up to MAC OS 8.0. I left the old original HDD in its spot but will add the Quantum Fireball 1.2GB HDD with the sale. I was able to open various programs and the computer worked quickly and smoothly as it should. The CD-ROM was tested and works. The 3.5 Floppy Disk at first, read the disk that I had inserted but then on the 3rd test it stopped reading any disk that I inserted. My guess, is that the heads need to be clean.

The Mitsubishi MF355F-3592MA 3.5 Floppy Disk Drive will accept and eject disks but currently does not read disk. Again, I think the heads needs to be cleaned. The computer will not come with a keyboard, mouse, or the monitor.

The computer will come with a power cord. Please see photos for content physical condition. Keep in mind, that I mainly sell vintage computers and vintage computer accessories. That said even though the box/item may not show damage, the internal mechanism may have been damaged or jarred from a rough truck and/or plane ride. I will work with ALL my customers to resolve the problem.

Personally, I do not think that this is an acceptable way to return items. We are not Walmart or Costco that cannot absorb these financial damages.
